Q. The insurance company appointed a Loss Adjuster, why do I need a Loss Assessor?
A. In a claim situation, Insurance Companies will appoint a “Loss Adjuster” to deal with your claim on their behalf. It is not the role of Loss Adjuster to advise you or to prepare your claim. This Loss Adjuster will simply attempt to adjust your submitted claim and determine what should be paid out by the insurance company. A professional independent Loss Assessor, like CGDM Property Claims, can manage the claims process for you and negotiate the best settlement with the Loss Adjuster and insurance company.
Q. I can just get a builder to give an estimate, why do I need a Loss Assessor?
A. An estimate for damage repair is only a part of reaching a settlement with an insurance company. Any claims need to be prepared and submitted correctly to avoid the Loss Adjuster reducing your claim. CGDM Property Claims role is to manage the entire claims process from initial damage survey and claims submission to final settlement and repair completion.
